Moggaro Aluminium Yachts starts as a Spanish managerial initiative to design and build ports crafts. Aluminium boat building is very much spread in countries such as the USA, Australia or Canada, all of them top countries when it comes to water and nautical sports.

However, in Europe there are not many examples of companies which deal with aluminium sports crafts, being the fibre the prevailing material used in the market at the moment.

The increase in naval industry in the past years has been very important and it has clearly revealed an outstanding fact: fibre boats have a limited useful life, because there are many elements which go against the boat durability. Cases of osmosis, splitting lamination and fissures make it necessary for the boat to go under continuous repairs, with the consequent maintenance expenses.

On the other hand, thanks to the possibility and easiness of the fibre to develop and build different shapes, we can observe real “design jewels” in this growing market. This is why, in our opinion, aluminium boat building in Europe has not taken off yet: austere, archaic, cold and angular designs, which contrast with the soft and wavy aesthetics the sea offers.

That is the aim Moggaro is going after: aluminium building crafts which can bring together aesthetics, comfort, seaworthiness and durability
